Welcome to the overview site for New Culture groups and events world-wide!

"New Culture" is about creating sustainable, rich, intimate personal relationships, along with a sustainable world to enjoy them in, based on transparency, delight, freedom, and community. In order to create a New Culture in our lives and in the larger society, we put on events that help us develop the skills we need to make that real, including communication, self-knowledge, presence, conflict resolution, and effective activism.

New Culture has no central authority, so we have gathered information about New Culture groups to create a single location to find out about the various independent New Culture groups and organizations, and the activities that they sponsor and produce.

Network for a New
Culture

NFNC is the name that was used for the first New Culture events in the mid 1990's and is still sometimes used today to refer to New Cuture Institute (NCI) or to the overall New Culture movement. It is not a legal entity-- it exists only in the "hearts and minds" of all those who value community, personal freedom, and peace in the world.

Its website still serves to publish information about NCI activities, and often hosts webpages for other New Culture groups that are just getting started. It also has an archive of various documents that were influential in inspiring the first New Culture events.

New Culture Institute

New Culture Institute, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is the official name of the organization that, since 2004, has sponsored Summer Camp West. Mostly based in Eugene, OR, there is an active network of people involved in New Culture, and many informal gatherings and collaborations happen regularly among Summer Camp alumni. NCI publishes information about its activities and events on the NFNC website. www.nfnc.org.

Center for a New
Culture

Center for a New Culture, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was formed in 2003 to sponsor the first New Culture Summer Camp on the East Coast, and the first expansion of Summer Camp beyond the initial group. CFNC also sponsors many New Culture events throughout the year, including special "themed" New Culture events, and in various parts of the country--mostly in the Washington DC area and other areas of the mid-Atlantic. The organizers from CFNC are active in supporting new New Culture groups across the country and beyond. CFNC organizers have created an "Intentional Village" in West Virginia based on New Culture principles. The website contains extensive material about New Culture. www.cfnc.us

NFNC Austin is a community of individuals supporting the principles of “Network for a New Culture” within the Austin area. We hold monthly ZEGG Forum evenings that are often combined with a potluck dinner and discussion about enhancing NFNC Austin. The schedule of our ZEGG Forum evenings is posted on the calendar page. In addition to Forum, we have goals to host an NFNC weekend in 2014 and host a week-long camp in 2015.
